Established in 1999, Shanghai Image Maker is the foremost solution to all television and film production needs in Mainland China. Entirely funded by a private company in New York, Image Maker has utilized its 50 million U.S. budget to create a 200-acre film lot complete with multiple large indoor, air-conditioned soundstages, and a 200+ room hotel on location to accommodate a crew of any size. All of the structures in the film lot have practical interiors, with architecture depicting multiple eras in Chinese history. In addition, Image Maker has on location facilities that could in a short time construct film sets depicting any time period. Martial arts actor Jet Li’s latest movie Fearless was shot almost entirely on location at Image Maker, and other past clients include Oscar winner Ang Lee, film legend Jackie Chan, and many others.
